the Bug and the Advent and the Christmas

*can't you see that i'm busy?*
it's a pleasant surprise when i checked the picture.
the bug so happened flew pass as i pressed the shutter.
*teeheeee*

they said the 'list' is coming out in a few days time. Thursday, they said.
and i don't know what to expect. *whatever*

***
'Notoriously JOY-ed!'
The Advent.
Are you living as if Jesus did not come and is not coming again?
***

my family and i had a good laugh when we talked about many years ago how me and my siblings used to wait for Santa Claus to come during Christmas. We put baskets at the end of our beds, we 'fought' for the biggest basket...(you know, let's say you have a small basket, then Santa initially thought of giving you a big gift since you behaved well thru'out the year and mana tahu he had to give you a smaller gift coz the big one can't fit into your small basket...) hehe, and we did receive gifts from Santa@my parents. LOL. they are really good in creeping into rooms. Oh well, and now you know SIZE (of the basket) doesn't really matter anyway.

at the mean time.. while waiting for this Thursday to come...
life is the same ~ back to peeling garlic and being a waitress..
and acting like a boss.

colours and moods.

Orange.
the warmth. the light. the presence.
the mood: JIMO.

*dup dup dup*
the light is green. the bottles are green.
the mood: we have the E's. Elated. Euphoric.

you painted me red.
we are hanging side by side.
the mood: celebration for the freedom we (I) have.

oh You

without You my world slips away

The things of this world will fade
Still You are all that i need

Preview to the 400 over pictures I have taken during my month in Klang.

since i am still waiting for the DHL man to come *yes, i have waited for 4 hours*.. i might as well use the time to put up some pictures...
*don't have time to edit the pictures yet..*

This is the DHL box.

This is Ashok and Yu Chan (the Korean boy). This was taken during the Christmas Bazaar.

This is Jia Wei and Yu Sheung (the Korean girl). This was taken yesterday - the last day of school. Students can come in their own clothes for the last day of school.

these are the F2 boys I taught.
for two periods of Science je..
clockwise from top left: Vee Sion, Guo Chan, Guo Pin and Hao Min

there are more pictures on Christmas Bazaar, Primary Class Party, Secondary Class Party, random shots, Christmas presentation by Primary students of both schools, Interhouse Music Competition for Secondary students, the makan time in Klang and the budak-budak in the house, suitlin's bday at Desa Park City, etc etc etc..

me is setting up tabung for my new camera. heeee.. :p

on a cloudy Saturday morning

i am waiting to complete my final assigned task in school ... which is to settle the parcel and arrange for the DHL workers to come and collect it and then send it to Sri Lanka. sigh. it took me such a long time to collect the papers from the students, then seal them in the DHL box, and fill in the shipment bill... and now, waiting for the people to come and collect between 9-12.. i have been sitting in the front desk office since 8.45am and i am feeling super sleepy.

yesterday was my last working day in school. two days of class parties. tonnes of food. a lot of pictures in my phone. and of course, i learned many new things too. Example ha, Sri Lanka doesn't have a postcode, DHL got their own planes that's why they charge more and the service is faster, GDEX tumpang other people's plane that's why it's cheaper and of coz' slower; the smart board thingy and the softwares are fun to use and it does help the students to learn better *given that you're creative enough*; there's always a cultural difference between Int Schs and the Private Schs which follow the Msian syllabus, sometimes you found yourself caught in the state of 'double standard'; the non-selective issue is quite a thing to me because the fact is, natural selection and survival of the fittest are the game of the world *oh, we are in the world but not of the world*; i need to do something about my classroom management, coz i think i always screw up my 'first impression'; you gained the world, but you lost your own life...

my thoughts are all jumbled up.

what is my stand?

am i compromising too much?

they say 'stand up and speak up'. why am i not doing that?

classroom management. discipline. do we really need to be so strict and ganas all the time? and i mean ALL the time, even if it's the final week of school? this cannot, that cannot..
Or is it because I am too 'cincai'.. this ok, that also ok...?

positive reinforcement. but look, who is instilling fear in students?

non-selective. but do we really have a choice? they have to leave because of poor academic performance. and there are other better students on the waiting list. tomorrow is their last day in school. i felt their jimo-ness although they always act tough.

selfishness. sometimes it's nicely packaged in the form of selflessness, because you're aiming for something else. Something which you think is more important for you in the end.

peacock. panther. dolphin. owl. which one do you identify with?
